A JBS beef packing plant in Greeley, Colorado is reopening its doors today after closing on April 11 once more than 100 employees tested positive for coronavirus. During the closure, the company worked with the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health to disinfect the facility and implement COVID-19 precautionary meaures. Approximately 1,600 employees will return Friday and Saturday, along with 3,000 employees on Monday as the plant restarts 60 percent of its production capacity. For the first five days of operation, a testing station will be onsite for two hours at the beginning of each shift. The Greeley plant processes 5,400 head of cattle per day.
