House Agriculture Committee Chairman Collin Peterson sent a letter to the White House Coronavirus Task Force on Thursday. In the letter, Peterson asked the task force to address challenges facing the U.S. pork industry. Peterson also asked Vice President Mike Pence provide urgent assistance to farmers and ranchers, develop standards for humane euthanasia and use any other means to support farmers, processing plant workers and plant communities.
