The May crude oil contract fell to unprecedented levels on Monday, just ahead of expiration. The negative oil prices pressured the corn market. “The crude oil prices were negative at one point. That means ethanol producers are going to be looking at continued losses,” explained Dan Basse, president, AgResource Company. “The corn market extracted the premium for demand disruption and the soybean market was caught up in-between trying to find China demand.”
