South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem signed an executive order to help the state’s pork producers during the coronavirus. “With packing plants shutting down across the country and in our region, farmer’s options are very limited. The executive order will give farmers flexibility to what they can do on their operations,” said Noem. “It requires them to maintain soil and nutrient management on their operations, but flexibility on head count until we can get plants back online.” Read the executive order.
