The livestock markets continue to struggle. Kluis Commodities market analyst Jacob Burks said the struggle will continue until demand picks up. “It’s a very unfortunate pattern, but we could see the writing on the wall. The restaurant business and food service industry isn’t pumping out demand like it used to; how we use perishable products is changing,” said Burks. “Our cold storage went from being in the factories to everyone’s garage. We spread it out, wiped it out and then, built it up quick. We totally changed the infrastructure of the industry.”
