More than 60 agricultural groups are urging each state to increase truck weight limits. This request comes as the federal Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security, or CARE, Act was signed into law last week. The CARE Act allows for truck weight limit increase on U.S. and Federal Interstate Highways during the COVID-19 pandemic. The ag groups are asking for “minimum harmonized truck weight limit of 88,000 pounds” across the country. View the full letter here.
