U.S. Commodities President Don Roose says the trade is trying to get a handle on domestic demand due to coronavirus. “There’s a lot of uncertainty. Can workers all work at the plants? There could be a problem with product availability and consumption.” Going forward, Roose says easing consumer fears will be critical. “Anytime we come up with a treatment or vaccine, that would be a positive. Let’s watch and see going forward. It’s going to be all about this and the equity market.”
