African Swine Fever is a significant animal health issue, but the consequences go beyond that. Okabena, Minnesota pig farmer Larry Liepold says it could impact the structure of the swine industry. “My big picture look at it is let’s see who will be on the other side of this business should this hit the U.S. Is that going to make the industry more single scope? I hope not; I would hope we could stay as diverse as we are.”
