National Corn Growers Association President Kevin Ross says farming practices are quickly evolving with sustainability in mind. “NCGA feels we’ve reached a tipping point where we have the opportunity to recognize corn farmers for their efforts to stay productive and profitable and manage the challenges of climate change while keeping sustainable farming practices.” Minnesota Corn Growers Association and NCGA board member Harold Wolle says Minnesota Corn’s innovation grant program has been very successful in driving sustainability research projects. “It varies from an underground irrigation system to show how that will increase yields and provide conservation for that field to equipment modifications to allow seeding of cover crops in season.”
