USDA has announced a new pilot program for Prairie Pothole region to provide incentives for planting cover crops. The Soil Health and Income Protection Program is part of the Conservation Reserve Program and is available to landowners in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana. The signup will be done through the Farm Service Agency and begins March 30.
