The National Farmers Union officially saw Roger Johnson into retirement at the Farmers and Distillers Restaurant in Washington D.C. Johnson served as president for 11 years, announcing his retirement a couple months ago. The election of a new president will take place when the organization meets March 1-3 in Savannah, Georgia. The three candidates include NFU Senior Vice President of Public Policy Rob Larew, Kansas Farmers Union President Donn Teske and National Dairy Producers Organization chair Mike Eby.
