During the 25th National Ethanol Conference, Renewable Fuels Association President and CEO Geoff Cooper said this past year was one of the worst ever for the ethanol industry. “After six years straight years of growth, U.S. ethanol production fell in 2019. At 15.8 billion gallons, last year’s output was down 300 million gallons from the record in 2018.” Cooper said 2020 is off to a good start with a legal victory regarding the EPA’s use of small refinery waivers.
