Nearly 3,000 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in mainland China. To contain the disease, a lockdown is now in place for 57 million people in 15 cities in China. This comes during China’s Lunar New Year, which is one of the busiest times for travel each year. The phase one trade deal between the U.S and China is in place, but economic activity will be influenced by the coronavirus outbreak.
