Approximately 200 people were invited to the White House for the signing of phase one of the U.S.-China trade agreement. Agriculture was well represented at the ceremony and several local leaders from the Dakotas and Minnesota were in attendance. That list includes: NDFB President Daryl Lies, South Dakota Farm Bureau President Scott VanderWal, Minnesota Farm Bureau President Kevin Paap, Minnesota legislators Deb Kiel from Crookston and Mark Johnson of East Grand Forks. Hallock, Minnesota farmer Theresia Gillie and American Soybean Association Vice President and Worthington, Minnesota farmer Bill Gordon.
