A bill has been introduced in the House seeking more oversight for the commodity checkoff programs. Nevada Democrat Dina Titus introduced the bill, saying more oversight is needed for these promotion and research programs. In the news release about the bill, an executive with the animal rights group called Animal Wellness Action, voiced support for the bill.
