Grain storage capacity is growing across the region. Minnesota leads this area with nearly 2.4 billion bushels of storage capacity, up ten million bushels from 2018. North Dakota’s grain storage capacity totals 1.39 billion bushels, which is up 15 million bushels. Capacity increased ten million bushels over the past year in South Dakota, totaling 1.16 billion bushels. On-farm storage increased in North Dakota, while off-farm storage capacity increased in Minnesota and South Dakota.
