Unpredictable weather and variable conditions were the rule in 2019. Pioneer agronomy manager Dan Berning says lessons were learned this past year. “We don’t want to look at just 2019 and base all of our decisions on that, but it definitely goes into that library of knowledge that we have.” Some areas will likely have wet conditions this spring and delayed planting is a possibility. “So what did we learn this past year that will help us make decisions, whether it is fertility management or weed control practices.”
