The Arkansas State Plant Board unanimously decided on Monday to appeal a circuit court ruling that questions the makeup of the board. Earlier this month, a county court judge ruled the state law creating the board was unconstitutional because it allowed the private sector to select a representative to the board. According to the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, the appeal will now go to the Arkansas Supreme Court. The court will hear the merits of a case in which another circuit judge has upheld the board’s composition.
