After the weekend blizzard, the wind will be the story. The National Weather Service is predicting wind gusts of up to 50 miles-per-hour today, causing more blowing and drifting. The weather system responsible for this blizzard extends from the Texas Panhandle and Delta northward to the Canadian border. World Weather Incorporated says snowfall totals of 12-to-17 inches were seen from north-central South Dakota through east-central and southeastern North Dakota to northern Minnesota. There are parts of North Dakota that have already had an entire winter’s worth of snowfall before the end of December.
