The prices received by farmers in November were up 4.6 percent from October and up 0.2 percent from one year ago. USDA says the most significant increase was in the livestock production index, up seven percent from October. Prices received by livestock and dairy farmers were higher, but the biggest increase came in the poultry and egg sector, up almost 15 percent. Farmers and ranchers paid slightly more for ag inputs and services in November, led by higher prices for feeder cattle and herbicides.
