USDA will not revise production numbers in Tuesday’s Supply and Demand report. We’ll get those numbers in the January report. Agsurian Risk Consulting marketing manager Kent Beadle expects those numbers to be widely debated. “In terms of having any confidence of the January numbers, the trade is understanding whatever the USDA tells us it will likely be subject to debate,” says Beadle. “There’s 11 percent of the U.S. corn still sitting in the field. That crop that’s still in the field is there for a reason. Moisture is high. Test weight is low. There may not be as much out there as USDA thinks there could be.”
