It’s easy to get bogged down by volatile weather and markets. Yet, the objective has not changed for BASF District Manager Barry Rongen. “Farmers are going to put a crop in next year and our approach is a positive one. We really believe we can help farmers get the most out of every acre.” Every grower and ag retailer will take a microscopic look at all input decisions. Rongen sees herbicide-resistant weeds as a key part of that process. “In this area, it is ragweed and waterhemp and we can get farmers off to the right start in controlling those weeds.” In a meeting with ag retailers, Rongen said farmers want a simple, transparent process when investing in their crop.
