President Donald Trump is restoring tariffs on steel and aluminum products from Brazil and Argentina. On Twitter, Trump said those two countries have devalued their currencies, which has hurt farmers and manufacturers. With this move, Trump said these countries will no longer be able to take advantage of the strong U.S. dollar by devaluing their currency. Trump also tweeted that U.S. markets are up as much as 21 percent since the tariff announcement in March of 2018. Trump said some of that money has been given to farmers, who have been targeted by China.
