Wheat quality issues, low test weight corn, tough haying conditions; farmers and ranchers have certainly faced many trials this year. This winter, those producers will work on gathering tools to face what 2020 has in store. NDSU Extension Agent in Stutsman County Alicia Harstad says despite the challenges, there are options out there. “Feeding poor wheat wheat and light corn to livestock could be a potential outlet,” she says. These will just be a couple, of the many, topics addressed at the Central Dakota Ag Day on December 5 in Carrington. “Our keynote speaker will talk about the power of group purchasing to save on input costs. There will also be half-hour breakout sessions throughout the day with agronomy, livestock and marketing topics.” View the schedule here.
