The Minnesota Farmers Union met in Minneapolis over the weekend. On Saturday, delegates set policy priorities. “Resolutions were passed on the county level and we reviewed and debated those on the state level. Whatever is passed on the state level is what we advocate for in St. Paul and Washington D.C.,” said MFU President Gary Wertish. “At MFU, we end up with very interesting policy discussions sometimes. That’s very healthy for an organization. Infrastructure spending, trade and biofuels were discussed.”
