Brazil’s crop supply agency CONAB raised its soybean production outlook for the current 2019-20 growing season. CONAB expects both planted area and yields to increase. With about half of the expected soybean area yet to plant CONAB estimates Brazil’s soybean production at 120.9 million tonnes, up 2.7 percent from last year. Planted area is expected to be 2.3 percent more than last season. CONAB is forecasting Brazil’s corn production to be 98.37 million tonnes, down slightly from last year’s 98.39 million tonnes.
