The majority of the soybeans in the Rugby, North Daktoa area are harvested. “We had the snow event that set us back a little,” said Steve Fritel, who farms in the region. “Everything for the most part dried off and we were able to get back out there.” Once the ground froze, farmers got back into the field. “The soybeans are average, which in the grand scheme of things we can’t complain about.” The corn harvest in north-central North Dakota is in a holding pattern. “We keep going out and hand picking cobs. It doesn’t seem to want to get below percent. We’d love to get going, but we haven’t done anything yet.”
