The New Rockford, North Dakota area received about an inch of snow Tuesday night, but that isn’t stopping area farmers from moving forward with soybean harvest. Northwest of New Rockford, Bremen Ag Service owner Donny Allmaras says farmers are working hard. “They wouldn’t be working quite as hard if there wasn’t such a good crop out there,” says Allmaras. “Considering there are pods on the ground and lodging, their still harvesting a 35 to 40 bushel crop at 13 to 14 percent moisture.” The corn is a different story, and Allmaras says that harvest will be challenging. A lot of the crop may be left in the field over winter. Listen to the interview.
