The U.S. Meat Export Federation is “pretty upbeat” about the export markets for beef, pork and lamb. Beef exports are expected to increase by five percent in 2020. Pork exports conservatively could grow by 13 percent. At their strategic planning conference in Arizona, USMEF officials said pork exports to China are up despite a 72 percent tariff. If a trade deal is successful, pork exports could increase rapidly.
