A bipartisan group of senators is asking Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue to prioritize enrollment and implementation of the State Acres for Wildlife Enhancement initiative within the Conservation Reserve Program. The lawmakers said the decision to limit cost-share incentives in recent continuous sign-ups and excluding programs like this one will reduce the interest in CRP. The letter was signed by 17 senators, including Minnesota Senators Klobuchar and Smith, South Dakota Senators Thune and Rounds and North Dakota Senator Hoeven.
