North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum is planning a series of townhall meetings across the state to get a look at conditions and hear from impacted farmers and ranchers. A schedule is still being finalized, but the meetings will likely begin early next week. Information, including crop losses and other damages, are being gathered right now to prepare a Secretarial disaster declaration. A Presidential disaster declaration will also likely be sought. Once submitted, it will take several weeks for these disaster declaration approvals.
