After this wet growing season, there may be a natural tendency to go with earlier maturities for next year. “I’d caution growers on that,” said Pat Radermacher, regional team leader, AgriGold. “I think it is important to have a good discussion with your seed supplier and discuss hybrid characteristics. Evaluate maturities, but don’t make wholesale switches in 2020 based on this year’s growing environment.”
