The first winter storm of the season could impact the Dakotas, Minnesota and southeastern Manitoba this week. According to World Weather Incorporated, the forecasted storm system could become a significant event. Two to six inches of snow is possible in the heart of the Dakotas Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday, the potential for blizzard-like conditions increases, with snowfall totals of three to eight inches and 20 to 35 mile per hour winds possible.
