The full harvest campaign for Minn-Dak Farmers Cooperative is scheduled to begin on Friday. Vice President of Agriculture Mike Metzger says staff has the crop estimated at 24.5 tons. “It looks like the crop could be greater than that. The quality is about 16 percent sugar,” he explains. “We need the faucet to shut off and the sun to shine. It would help dry things out and the sugarbeets pack on the sugar.”
