The U.S. pork industry is pleased with the signed trade agreement between the U.S. and Japan. The National Pork Producers Council says once implemented, the agreement signed today puts U.S. pork back on a level playing field with competitors in Japan. NPPC also says Japanese exports could grow from $1.6 billion in 2018 to more than $2.2 billion in the next 15 years under the market terms included in the agreement.
