NDSU Extension plant pathologist Andrew Friskop is fielding questions about late season corn diseases. “There are many photos coming in with chlorosis on the corn canopy. In some cases, we’re seeing Goss’s Wilt, but in most photos, the corn is just starting to mature.” Friskop says the wet weather may promote mold growth in the corn. “If we start getting into periods of wet, cool rain we could see some mold growth on the cobs. It may be too early to tell, but keep it in the back of your mind.”
