A weekend attack on Saudi Arabian oil facilities sent crude prices higher. The drone strike impacts five percent of the daily oil supply worldwide. Brent crude prices were up nearly 20 percent when the markets opened last night. Those gains have backed off, but are still up more than nine percent. President Trump responded by authorizing the use of the country’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve with enough oil to keep the markets well supplied.
