The progress of the crop is the big focus at the Big Iron Farm Show. Valley City, North Dakota farmer Monte Peterson says corn and soybeans have a long way to go. “We’ve had a chilly and wet August into September. We need a reversal in our weather pattern to get the crop to maturity.” Peterson says everyone wants a harvest-able, marketed crop. “We still have to learn how many acres to harvest. Then, what kind of crop will we harvest once we get acres planted?”
