The crops can stretch anywhere from fair to fairly well in the Minot, North Dakota area. Pioneer sales representative Brad Howe said emergence was spotty in areas. “Now, crops seem to have caught up. We need heat units to finish.” Howe says the timing isn’t optimum for the recent rains, but no one wants to complain. “There is concern with recent rains and sprout in the small grains. I think the crops are progressing, but I’m fearful of diseases that could pop up. We’ll have to wait and see.”
