The National Grain and Feed Association members are wary of the Trump Administration’s efforts to speed up the approval of genetically engineered crops. The National Grain and Feed Association warns that speeding approval of new varieties to market before crop importing countries grant their own approval could lead those countries to block imports of U.S. crops and snarl global trade flow. NGFA says the administration’s proposal also risks undermining consumer acceptance and international regulatory recognition of APHIS oversight.
