The Environmental Protection Agency is proposing 20.04 billion gallons of renewable fuels to be blended into fuel supply in 2020, an increase from the 19.92 billion gallons in 2018. The mandate includes 15 billion gallons of conventional biofuels, such as ethanol, unchanged from 2019. The 2020 advanced biofuel proposal is 5.04 billion gallons, an increase from last year’s 4.92 billion. The biodiesel mandate is 2.43 billion gallons for 2021, unchanged from 2020.
