There’s no end in sight for the trade tensions between the U.S. and China. Minnesota Senator Tina Smith met with farm leaders Friday afternoon in the Twin Cities and heard concern about the trade situation. “We needed to stand up to China, and their unfair trade practices are hurting Minnesota, agriculture and our country,” says Smith. The White House has been negotiating by threat and intimidation. “That might work in New York real estate. I don’t know anything about New York real estate, but I have learned a lot about farming and agriculture. I understand that what matters is whether or not you can demonstrate that you are a reliable trading partner.”
