With the increase in crop prices, Syngenta agronomic service representative Jason Snell sees an opportunity to capitalize on the plant health benefits of fungicides. A new product is on the market called Miravus Neo that controls white mold. “Given the history where in 2017 where we saw more acres of white mold surprise growers. If you’re in a corn-bean rotation, you’re coming back to those same acres now and will likely see increase pressure from inoculum.” Snell urges caution with the newly emerged crops. “It’s the time of the year when we usually have three-four-or-five leaf corn already and we’re seeing maybe one or two leaves. Keep in mind, crop staging and making sure you get your protection on safely within the time windows of the products you’re using.”
