The omnibus agriculture budget bill passed unanimously in the Minnesota Senate on Friday. Senate Agriculture Committee Chairman Torrey Westrom said there were a few key highlights to the bill including funding for a Soy Innovation Campus at Crookston, more funds to help with farmer mental health. The bill also included funding to help Minnesota dairies. Chair of the House Agriculture and Food Finance and Policy Division Jeanne Poppe said there was compromise to get through the special session.
