The Environmental Protection Agency has less than one month to finalize a rule allowing year-round E15 by the summer driving season. Growth Energy Vice-President of Regulatory Affairs Chris Bliley says it’s a tight timeframe. “The EPA has committed to having this done by June 1. It would fulfill President Trump’s promise to have it done by the summer driving season.” Commenting on the proposed rule, Growth Energy said the Renewable Identification Number reforms were unnecessary and would hamper the ability for those who blend more biofuels to get product to the marketplace. “They can follow through with additional rule making on some of the retail points in E85 and E15. The important thing is this rule gets done soon.”
