New England, North Dakota farmer Jon Wert got some canola in the ground before the recent rains. “We were seeding fields we probably shouldn’t have. It was too wet,” says Wert. “We have about 600 acres of canola in the ground. We’re working on issues with the planter and drill.” There has been some wheat seeded, too. “Most farmers in the area were planting wheat or peas.”
