Wet fields are delaying planting progress near Peever, South Dakota, but farmer Bob Metz says it’s nice to have good soil moisture. “The seed guys are a little bit behind on delivering because of the recent snow. Otherwise, they probably would’ve had that done,” says Metz. “Everybody is getting things in place and then we’ll be ready to roll.” There will likely be a shift towards corn. “A lot of it has to do with timing and tariff. Eight dollar soybeans don’t cash flow, so people are going to change where they can.”
