The European Union has voted on a mandate to move forward with an EU- U.S. Free Trade Agreement, excluding agriculture. In response, the American Soybean Association says they are disappointed, because this was an opportunity to address the EU’s policies on biotechnology and pesticide laws. The Association is asking the U.S. Administration to push back on the EU and insist the issues are addressed via a Free Trade Agreement or bilateral discussions.
