The snowy conditions didn’t keep 100 middle-school students from attending the annual Progressive Ag Safety Day, sponsored by AgCountry Farm Credit Services. Altru Clinic Safety Day Coordinator Carrie Bergquist said many ag safety topics were covered during Friday’s event. “We discussed electric, fire, seat belt, grain and bike safety, along with firearms and lawnmower safety. There was also a rollover simulator.” Bergquist said safety literature will be distributed to more students this week. Learn more about the Progressive Ag Safety Day program.
