In a briefing with reporters, President Donald Trump said farmers will be “really happy” with a potential trade agreement with China. More work is needed, but Trump said a deal could be happening soon. “We’ll probably know over the next four weeks,” said Trump. “It may take another two weeks after that to get it papered, but I really think in a relatively short period of time we will know and it is looking very good.” The president said he’d like to see some of the tariffs on Chinese products remain in place, a position not supported by China.
